About

I have worked in the design and publishing field since the early 1990s. I have extensive experience in publication design and planning, including retail, science, and technical books, informational booklets and guides for the public, database-to-print directories, and all types of printed materials.
I have also worked in advertising and marketing, designing full conference graphics systems, supporting corporate re-branding projects, and helping small businesses and nonprofits reach their target audiences in a cost-effective manner. I’ve designed and built web sites and done web site audits for corporate acquisitions.
To keep life interesting, I have worked as an electrician’s assistant, project coordinator, sales engineer, and handyperson. I have travelled broadly, including to China for factory inspections of equipment, to Cuba to lead study tours, and across Latin America to escape Wisconsin winters.
I can be an effective project coordinator, from small details to the big picture. Projects include everything from creating an interactive online database from a large technical publication, to organizing and hosting a study trip abroad for 25 curious travellers.
I love to work on “we’ve never done that before” projects. I’m happy to research your issues, explore solutions, and work with the best people to get you from A to Z.
Need something simple, like a logo and business card? That’s fun, too!
