Picos

The star attraction that drew me to this area is Picos de Europa national park. This afternoon I did what I’ve been planning for months, and it still surprised me. Will have to post photos for now, but videos when I get wi-fi, because stills don’t do it justice.

All the cable car stats.
You can hike to a hotel or for days across the mountains, from refuge to refuge.
Top feels pretty unfriendly to humans.

Haven’t had wifi but really want to post video.

Birds and wind.
Somehow not a video.

I think I’ll shift to just links to videos.

Meanwhile… There’s a restaurant at the top of the mountain and there were many hikers, including some sort of Scout group. Check out some cool historical photos. The internet where I am is so slow that it can barely upload the photos.

After the cable car, then the sun came out, of course, so I went in to nearby Potes, an adorable but too crowded river town.

Giving up on video here, but maybe more photos later.
